WAAEYC’s annual winter conference “Rising Star of Quality” will take place on February 5, 2010 at the Hilton Gardens Hotel on Major Taylor Blvd. in Worcester. This year’s conference features Commissioner Sherri Killins of the Dept. of Early Education and Care as the keynote speaker. She will talk about the EEC System Building Plan.

NAEYC Seeks Input
The NAEYC is seeking feedback from its members in the accreditation process. They are asking for input regarding the Accreditation criteria. Now is your chance to provide NAEYC with your thoughts on the criteriaWAAEYC Will Provide Accreditation Mentors
WAAEYC is currently developing a mentor program for child care programs going through the accreditation or re-accreditation process. Directors of programs that have recently completed the process have been asked if they are willing to serve as a mentor for one or two programs who are working on NAEYC accreditation.
