Nomination Time For WAAEYC Board!
It is time to ask our members for their help in soliciting nominations for the WAAEYC Board of Directors. If you or perhaps a collegue would like to join this active and hard-working board and be involved in supporting high quality programs and services for young children, now's the time!
You do not have to be a director or administrator to join the WAAEYC board, any early childhood professional is welcome to be nominated. WAAEYC is the local affiliate of the NAEYC. People successfully elected may choose to serve a two- or three- year term on the board. WAAEYC meets monthly, September-June on the first Thursday of the month from 9:00-10:30AM.Board members commit to attend meetings, work on one committee and be the voice of WAAEYC as you work in the field. Committees are related to our events which include training, annual conference, annual meeting, Week of the Young Child, public policy and more.
Our goal is to have a high functioning and inclusive professional organization. We welcome members from all sectors and aim for diverse, representative leadership that reflects the makeup of the field.
