WAAEYC’s Annual Winter Conference

Over 90 people attended the WAAEYC annual conference "Rising Star of Quality" on February 5, 2010 at the Hilton Gardens in Worcester. The conference was co-sponsored by WAAEYC and Child Care Connection and featured Sherri Killins, Commissioner of the Department of Early Education and Care as the Keynote speaker.

Commissioner Killins spoke about system building and the Strategic Plan developed by the department. Other workshops addressed Deveopmentally Appropriate Practice, the new EEC Licensing Regulations, Quality Rating Improvement System (QRIS), Special Quest, Supportive Supervision and Stress Management.

Evaluations indicated the conference was a success in regards to both the content and the facility.
