WAAEYC Will Provide Accreditation Mentors

WAAEYC is currently developing a mentor program for child care programs going through the accreditation or re-accreditation process. Directors of programs that have recently completed the process have been asked if they are willing to serve as a mentor for one or two programs who are working on NAEYC accreditation.

Mentors may take phone calls or emails from directors, share classroom portfolios and/or give a tour of their center.

Two-three directors have already expressed willingness to participate, and plans for this service will be ongoing throughout the summer of 2009. Please check back in this space where mentor information will be posted as soon as it is available!
